We are in the process of improving our main site. In coming weeks you can expect to see some changes for the better. They will include:
Charlie009's own blog. His "So You Want to Set the Dice" series will be moved from the main board to this side blog, so they can be read in order, from first to most recent and without other articles in between his.
Expect to see more new article from Mad Professor. Some of these will be articles thought lost with the demise of Dicesetter.com, some will be re-worked from his ongoing "Not so Random Thoughts" posts, and of course many will be new, and unique to the site.
I plan to begin the process of cleaning up the "hyperlinks to nowhere" that plague the articles rescued from Dicesetter. Please be patient, it's a tedious process.
Perhaps most relevant to the membership here, we are soliciting articles for publication on the main site. If you have a topic you'd like to see published for a wider audience, a topic from a post that you'd like to expand on or anything related to DI, or AP that you think worth sharing this is an opportunity to do it.
Writing on the main site is not much harder than wring posts here. We would set you up with a byline and password that will allow you to log on and write directly to the site. And, we can help you with proof-reading and editing if you'd like.
We don't pay for articles (which will remain the author's property) but anyone contributing articles for the main site will go to the front of the line when it comes time to hand out "comped" board memberships.
If there are topics you'd like to see explored, or other ideas for the main site, please reply here or PM Charlie or myself. The main site is the face we put on for the rest of the world so obviously we want to improve it when possible (and practical).
The membership here is a smart articulate bunch and possess a very strong collective knowledge about DI and gaming in general. I'm sure that we will get some fine work from you guys who give it a try. We look forward to hearing from you all.

FREE! TRIAL GREEN CHIP MEMBERSHIP at BJ21 « Result #3 on Jul 18, 2008, 12:48pm »
Charlie and I are pleased to announce a special, free, trial membership offer with Stanford Wong's BJ21 site;
All of you will be receiving 3 month complimentary trial "Green-Chip" memberships at BJ21. We are posting details of that below, and it is FREE, NO OBLIGATION WHATSOEVER, so please take advantage of it, it is a quality site and you'll find a wide range of AP types over there.
We are also opening our boards to their "Green Chip" (paid) members on a similar trial basis, so get ready for company. Some will stay and some will only visit but we think that the ones who stay will be serious students of craps and AP-Craps and most will bring years of AP knowledge and experience into the mix.
We believe that this venture benefits us all. And for those concerned that the "Doubting Thomases" of the AP community will somehow hurt this site, don't worry. While we believe that reasonable debate among reasonable people is healthy, our standards of civility and on-topic focus will continue to be enforced.
Here's the details on how to get your free trial at BJ21:
(From Al Rogers at BJ21)
As a benefit of belonging to The Dice Institute, you receive a complimentary three-month membership to BJ21.com’s Green Chip pages, normally priced at $12.25.
If you are serious about casinos, you like to talk about them once in a while. You like to discuss strategy, and you like to discuss what is going on in casinos you plan to visit. If you are like most of the casino patrons of the world, your family and neighbors and coworkers prefer to talk about things other than casinos. If you want to broaden your circle of friends to include more people willing to discuss real casino winning principles, Green Chip is for you.
Green Chip is a membership group on BJ21.com. It is a place for serious players to exchange information and socialize with one another. It does not contain any advertising. There are over 1200 Green Chippers, many of whom are skilled advantage players. You will enjoy exchanging views of casinos and Las Vegas with the well-informed members of Green Chip.
Click this secure link to activate your three-month complimentary Green Chip membership:. There is no cost or obligation whatsoever:

New Visitors, Stop Here First « Result #4 on Jan 21, 2007, 8:45am »
Welcome. You have found "The Dice Institute Message Board and Member's Forum."
Here you will be able to read and participate in an ongoing discussion about Advantage Play Craps through Precision Shooting, aka "Dice Influencing" and "Dice Control." Current contributors include many of the most recognized names in AP Craps today.
This is a private, members-only, interactive forum. There is an annual subscription cost to join this forum. This is to help us cover the costs of publishing our free website; www.diceinstitute.com and defray other expenses associated with running this forum.
When you have paid, and send in your registration information, you can choose a unique "User Name" or "Handle" for use on the boards. You will also be allowed to choose your own password. This name and password will allow you to participate in complete privacy, you can even opt to remain "invisible" to other members.
Anonymity is important when you take the skills learned here (and practiced at home first) to the casino because casinos try to remain aware of anyone and everyone who might have an advantage playing their games.
We do not share ANY information we collect from you in the registration process. In fact, you will be allowed to modify your own "profile" once you have joined. We need only a valid email address and birthdate (as an identifier for lost log-on information) and payment to sign you up.
The annual subscription fee is: $24.00 US
It is payable by June 30th of each year. See our information page:
Regular contributors to the Website and Message Board will be eligible to receive "Complimentary" (free) membership. There is no set number of posts you must make to receive this benefit, management will decide on a case-by-case basis. But we do expect to award at least 25-50 of these "comps" each year.
Also, after you have been a participating member for 1 year (or we have known you for that long from other boards) you will be offered the chance to become a "Lifetime Member." These memberships will be reserved for those who have shown a lasting interest in AP Craps. There will be a one-time fee for this has yet to be determined, but it will represent be a savings for any long term member.
We think the value offered here is well worth the equivalent of $2/month. The opportunity to ask authorities like the "Mad Professor" (author of the Mad Professors Crapshooting Bible )questions about improving your game is alone worth much more than this, especially when you will be taking what you have learned here to the tables, where you can never have too much information.
If you decide to join, welcome. And we look forward to your active participation.
